They adorned the preface and the margins of this sacred book skilfully and patiently, so it led to the appearance of a new art called “illumination”. When “Mangols” attacked Iran they destroyed most of the cultural works. After that they gathered togather many artists and supported arts. At this time the Chinese style of painting became prevalent in Iran. The study of the paintings in some books as “Kelile and Demneh” and “Shahnameh” show that the paintings of this period from the point of view of accuracy in designing, variety of colours and details are more powerful than of previous periods.
