Verification / translation sources: Verified Arabic and published translation excerpts. English: Marmaduke Pickthall. Urdu: Fateh Muhammad Jalandhari.
Relevance: Names vulnerable recipients, including a captive. The principle is relevant to humane care without relying on an unverified anecdote about a particular recipient.
Context / qualification: The published translations resolve “ʿala hubbihi” differently: Pickthall connects it with love of Him; Jalandhari with the giver’s desire for food. Both are reproduced unchanged.
Best use: Argument
